Radiators

Each component is more challenging to overlook than a radiator hose. Since it's nothing more than a piece of flexible piping that offers a path for coolant to flow through, it's easy to ignore during troubleshooting. However, those working on their forklift will want to double-check before declaring existing hoses in good condition.

Aftermarket Radiator Hoses for Forklifts

Interested parties are encouraged to check the part number of any component they're looking at replacing for proper fitment. Top brands like Clark, Komatsu, Mitsubishi, Toyota, and Caterpillar all generally code their radiator hoses with individual part numbers. Related devices attached to some Toyota engines, such as a water outlet, may also need replacement. In this case, having the part number for these components can dramatically reduce the time spent looking for them.

Choose Your Manufacturer

Each manufacturer is very different, though they have all sought to simplify the acquisition process to at least some degree. Doosan engines, for example, may call for an A341057 hose. Every hose in this category will have the exact dimensions and machining tolerances, so you can generally feel confident about swapping components out for one another. There are a few things to watch out for, however.

Working With Coolant Flow

Coolant flow should never exceed the stated tolerances of a particular piece of equipment, and you shouldn't use radiator hoses in a manner inconsistent with their labeling. As long as you replace them as the manufacturer intended, it would help if you didn't run into sticky situations.

Feel free to peruse our collection of different hoses to find something that will meet even the most demanding scenario. We always prepare for those who run their forklifts hard, so we're ready for any special requests your organization might have to make.

Installing Forklift Radiator Hoses

Depending on the specific model of forklift you find yourself working with, there's a good possibility that you will be able to swap out the hose as you would with any other component. Before you do any installation work, you'll want to be sure that the water pumps work as intended and the radiator caps are all in place. While you'll typically only ever find one of these components apiece on your forklift, it does make sense to thoroughly check everything out before you start doing too much work.

Disconnect everything from the running gear and ensure that the motor is powered off, cooled down, and in a safe state. Once you've gone through these and other preliminary caution-related steps, you'll be ready to swap in some new radiator hoses.
