Oil Filters
Would you ever want dirty oil that’s filled with sediment to recirculate through an internal combustion engine? You never would, which is where forklift oil filters come into play. These are extremely important components because they remove the dirt and grime that collects in engine oil over time.
Operators often forget oil filters if they’re working properly. It’s only when they need to be replaced that people give them any thought. Fortunately, we’ve put together an inclusive collection of oil filters that are designed to work with a number of different models. We invite you to look over the following offerings if you’re trying to replace your existing oil filter.
Forklift Engine Oil Filters
When you match oil filters, you’ll want a reorder number if at all possible. Otherwise, these pieces are generally interchangeable as long as you get something that will fit into the header space your engine installation offers a new part.
For instance, a 127644 oil filter is 4.07″ inches tall and has an 18.92mm thread diameter measurement. This last metric is of particular importance since it ensures that the new filter will screw into the mounting thread that’s currently on your forklift.
Take a look at 11HL-60310 oil filters, which offer a thread diameter of 16.72mm so these might fit a wider array of vehicles. The matching process might seem complicated, but it isn’t considerably different from that used to select an oil filter for use with a commercial-grade automobile engine. If you’ve ever done any work on your car, then you shouldn’t have any more difficulty swapping out a forklift engine oil filter with a new one.
Any 1320000 oil filter module will provide a 3.05″ outer diameter, which may help it to fit units that would run into problems with wider filter housings. While the internal workings of each of these styles are more or less similar, fitment is the primary differentiating factor. It’s normally not possible to put non-compatible oil filters in an engine that isn’t designed to accept them.
In situations where you find that to be the case, you’ll still want to make sure that you’re only using parts that are fully within your forklift’s specification in order to ensure that all of your equipment is operating as safely as possible. Any oil filters that look dirty or damaged should be replaced immediately so that potentially unsafe operating conditions won’t even be an issue.
Chances are that your forklift’s documentation spells out at least some information regarding the type and size of filter you should use. Take a look at all of the manufacturer’s recommendations whenever you’re replacing a component. If you’re still having some difficulties, then our team is here to help.
